How to add money into your CardBuzz Prepaid Account?

The procedure is simple.
  • Click on the “Add Money” tab to load money to your prepaid account via debit/credit card or net banking.
  • You may also click on the “Request Money/Ask A Friend” tab, which will allow you to request money from friends or family.

  • In a day, you can make at least 4 successful transactions. If you are a Full KYC customer, then the limit extends to 20 transactions.
  • If you load money through credit/debit cards, you can make up to 2 successful transactions per card.
  • In the case of 3 consecutive failed transactions, you might get a waiting period of a few hours. Make sure to load your prepaid account only after that period is over.

Yes, you can easily use credit and debit cards to load Prepaid Account and even a net banking account. However, you shall not be allowed to use the same credit/debit card to load money more than twice a day.

The convenience fee is imposed for facilitating the online loading of funds directly in your Prepaid Account. The fee amount is charged based on the current fee structure. Moreover, you can see the convenience fee applicable before the confirmation of loading funds to your account.

Yes, the users cannot add more than INR 50,000 in a month. Besides, if someone loads more than INR 50,000 in a year, they must submit their PAN card to use their CardBuzz prepaid account. In case of any confusion or any further details, reach out to us at support@cardbuzz.in.

  • It is similar to any credit or debit card that you to make payments online.

The steps are as follows:
  • Log in to your CardBuzz Mobile Application and go to the ‘Prepaid Card’ section, and then you shall be able to set up your own Digital Card.
  • Activate your digital card using your CardBuzz password or by setting up a PIN. Make sure you remember your pin, as you'll need this later while reviewing your card details.
  • Once you have the pin, you can generate the digital card with a 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV.
  • For reviewing your card details, you must enter the PIN set up during your digital card activation.
  • Moreover, if you have a CardBuzz tangible (plastic) card, then your plastic card and digital card details shall be the same.
  • If you wish to view your card details, you can check them on the Mobile App and the plastic card.

Yes, you can use CardBuzz Digital Card for online transactions. Follow these steps to activate online transactions:

  • Select the credit card, while doing an online transaction.
  • Enter your CardBuzz password to see your CardBuzz Digital card details on the app.
  • Then enter the 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV too.
  • If any website asks you to enter ‘Name on the card’, enter your name.
  • Then, an OTP will be generated on the mobile app that you need to enter while making an online payment.
  • Furthermore, if your transaction is successful, then the balance will be debited from your prepaid account. The deducted balance also reflects in the ‘My Transaction’ section.

We send inactive physical cards to our customers for their funds' protection. You can activate the physical card following these simple steps:

  • First, visit the ‘My CardBuzz Card’ section.
  • Tap onto the 'I have CardBuzz Card' option.

Add your CardBuzz card number and set up your PIN following the given instructions and Voila. Your physical card is ready to use.

  • For making a payment offline, give your card to the merchant/retailers. They will insert your card in the POS terminal, which will prompt you to enter your 6 digit PIN.
  • Enter the PIN that you have set up while activating the card. Then the CardBuzz system will receive the card details through the POS terminal for authorization, which is further transmitted to the POS terminal. On the successful authorization, the termination prints a receipt in response.
  • You, as a cardholder, will receive the confirmation message on your registered mobile number through SMS. You can also check the transaction statement on mobile screen apps.

The CardBuzz card is connected to your Prepaid Account balance. If you feel that the funds are less you can add money to your Prepaid Account, and it shall be available for CardBuzz card also.

It appears in the transaction summary in your CardBuzz Login. It also enables you to download the monthly transaction statement.

Issuing a digital card is completely free. However, for a physical card, you need to pay a nominal amount of INR 199 along with the taxes, or as discussed with the representative while ordering. Moreover, the cardholders will have to pay a nominal fee annually from the second year.

You simply need to visit the Prepaid Card Section in your CardBuzz Login and block the card by clicking on the provided option.

Yes. Your card will remain protected by 6 digit PIN and cannot be used in the absence of your phone. However, as soon as you get a new phone, you are advised to block the card by logging into the CardBuzz app using your phone and password.

No, you can't unblock a card if it is blocked. Hence, you will have to generate the request for a new card, to be delivered to your address.

Besides this, you can also generate a new digital card by following the instructions suggested in the Prepaid Card section. You can use this card at the online merchants.

You can easily set up the new PIN through your CardBuzz prepaid account, and a verification code will be sent to your registered mobile number through SMS. Enter the OTP and set up a new PIN for the card.

No, be assured that using the CardBuzz cards, you would not have to pay any extra surcharges, be it at the fuel station or any other merchant. However, there is a certain amount of government-approved surcharge prevalent that banks have to abide by. The variation generally tends to vary from 1% specifically at fuel stations to around 1.8% for the other genres.

Vouchers

As the name would signify, a voucher is a special offer that is credited to your account. It is generally done when you pay the merchant partners of CardBuzz or even the company itself. Not only can you get these while paying through the card, but the vouchers can also be acquired when you pay via the online options. However, you have to remember that the voucher needs to be used before it crosses the expiry date. The types of vouchers are quite widespread, and hence we have tried to put forth a clearer understanding of all the sections:

  • Recharge Vouchers:Most of us recharge our phones or even DTH platforms via the online platform. When you do that via the CardBuzz portal or cards, the rewards that you might collect are known as recharge vouchers.
  • Gift Vouchers:All of our shops via e-commerce portals like Amazon and Flipkart, right? When you use theCardBuzz mobile application and use your Prepaid account, the choices are humongous.
  • MealVouchers:By scanning your CardBuzz card when making a purchase, you can use these vouchers at any restaurant or even in the Supermarket. Bear in mind that such rewards cannot be used to buy anything other than meals or groceries. Restaurants that fall under the category of bars and drinking establishments are not included.
  • Fuel Voucher:True to the name, this voucher can be used in the fuel stations solely. All you would need to do is swipe your CardBuzz card, and if there is any surcharge, it will be dedicated from the prepaid account.
  • MedicalVouchers:The vouchers can be easily used at any pharmaceutical shop. All you need to do is swipe the CardBuzz card!
  • CardBuzz Treats: This one is a little different from the other genres and is issued exclusively by CardBuzz itself. You can use the treats anywhere across the CardBuzz platform, be it for making transactions or any other merchant transaction as well. However, you have to bear in mind that these are similar to your CardBuzz cash balance, although they cannot be transferred under any circumstance. You will also be unable to send the money via phone number as this might spoil the exclusivity. Always remember that your CardBuzz account will put forth the balance which is an amalgamation of all the vouchers as well as prepaid balance.

Once the expiry date is surpassed, the voucher will render zero benefits Irrespective of the merchant partner you are opting for. The balance amount will also be withdrawn and won't show anymore in your CardBuzz account.

If the vouchers are from big brands, a voucher code will be sent to the phone number registered in the form of SMS. You need to use this code when you make the purchase. All you would need to do is remember to select the "voucher" option before completing the payment.

The treats and offerings can be consumed by using CardBuzz Pay Cards.

Not really. You cannot transfer voucher balances to cash balances. However, you can buy gift vouchers from Cash Balances.

Note - You can’t transfer voucher balances either to a bank account or cash balances.

It depends upon the category a customer belongs to. Even though each of our customers is our valuable asset, their prepaid cash balance limit depends upon the plan they have opted for. You can anytime increase the limits of the prepaid account by getting in touch with us at support@cardbuzz.in.

Yes, it does. The procedure is as follows:

  • Login to your CardBuzz app.
  • Go to the ‘Send a Gift’ section and decide from the array of gift vouchers available in the section.
  • Select the gift voucher and send it to your contact.

An e-gift voucher is a great option if you want to gift your family or friends. All you would need to do is select the amount and the specific genre of the voucher that you would like to gift them with. Once selected, you have to enter the mobile number and choose the "gift now" option. The voucher will be sent to the recipient number and, the equivalent amount will be deducted from your CardBuzz prepaid account.

When you get an e-gift voucher, most certainly there should be an SMS sent to you which carries the code. The process is simple, and you would need to enter this code while you make the payment for the purchase. However, it is also advised that you check the terms and conditions of the e gift voucher before you redeem the same.

It is according to the will of the receiver that when he or she would like to use the e-gift voucher. However, that has to be finalized before the expiry date of the same. If the expiry date is surpassed, the e-gift voucher will be deemed useless.

It is not possible to get a refund into your prepaid account by not using an e- gift voucher. However, you can always check the terms and conditions of the e-gift voucher before gifting or using the same.

As the name would specify, data gifting involves gifting your friends and family a certain amount of data plan. You can choose the desired amount, and this will get debited from your CardBuzz account successfully.

This one is a specific type of reward and is solely issued by CardBuzz itself. It can be used for a plethora of services, be it for making transactions or even for gifting. Although they are quite similar to the CardBuzz cash balance, there is a poignant dissimilarity. You cannot transfer the treats to your account and get them as cash benefits.

Bill Payments and Recharge

To make any of the payments mentioned, you first have to log into your CardBuzz mobile application and tap on the section of "Recharge and Bills Payment".

If you want to make a prepaid recharge, all you need to do is enter the mobile number, and choose the recharge plan. You also have to select the operator and then make the transaction.

In the case of bill payment, the process is similar, and you would need to enter your operator and your mobile number. Once the bill amount pops up, you can make the payment.

On successful completion of the recharge, your CardBuzz mobile application will portray the message. You will also receive an SMS update from your service provider, and an email will be sent from CardBuzz.

This implies that the transaction was successful by CardBuzz, and there is some problem that is encountered by your mobile network operator. Once the mobile network operators send the update to CardBuzz, you will also receive the same and understand whether the payment was successful or you have to do it again.

In most cases, for postpaid bill payment, the confirmation is received in 24 hours. However, in case you have not received the updates even after 24 hours, it is advised that you get in touch with your specific network operator or can even seek help from support@cardbuzz.in with the required details.

In case the prepaid or postpaid payment fails do not worry as the money is completely in safe hands. Some of the poignant reasons why the transaction might have failed include - a delay from the mobile network providers end, unavailability of the recharge plan, network problems resulting in an unsuccessful transaction. The failure of a recharge or bill payment automatically signifies that the amount will be credited to your CardBuzz account.

In the case of both prepaid recharge or postpaid bill payments, the amount has to be at least INR 10 at a minimum. The maximum amount is INR 10000.

In case the prepaid account shows an insufficient amount, you have to keep loading your prepaid account. It has to be ensured before you can make the desired payment.

The limit is restricted at 5 transactions per day, and this includes all the variants be it DTH payment, recharge, electric or gas payment and even the payment for your broadband network. The limits can also change at intervals..

It wouldn't be a problem to pay multiple times for the same number by using CardBuzz. Although it is advised that you give a minimum time interval of twenty minutes before you repeat recharge for the same number.

Quite a few reasons can be held accountable for the failure of bill payment. Some of the most plausible ones include network delay from the server's end, invalid customer account number or ID entered and even network issues. The refund will be initiated between 24- 48 hours in your CardBuzz account.

Sometimes, the payment request might take unprecedented time to incase of network issues. In that case, wait till the completion of the transaction and do not leave the screen..

As much as we look forward to this feature, currently, the option is not available at the CardBuzz application.

Once you visit the CardBuzz application, you will find the option for "Recharge and Bill Payment", which will have all the names of the billers. Currently, the Airtel Landline, and the MTNL Delhi Bills, can be paid via CardBuzz.

There is a list of the accepted billers available under the "Recharge and Bills Section'' in the CardBuzz application itself. One can pay the Mahanagar Gas Limited bills as well as the Indraprastha gas bills.

There is an option for CardBuzz Pay in the application itself. You can select the Recharge and Pay Bills option. In case of a DTH recharge just choose the DTH option and the respective operator as well. Next, you would need to input your consumer id and make the respective payment. In case of data recharge, you have to put in the number, operator and the plan for successful payment.

There could be quite a few reasons why your recharge for DTH or data card might fail. There might be sometimes related problems one can face due to the discrepancy in network issues. In that case, you have to wait for the transaction to get completed and not leave the screen unless successful completion of the same.

The CardBuzz prepaid account can be used for the successful payment of the mentioned genres. For that, you have to firstly select the CardBuzz pay option in the application itself and then choose the option for Recharge and Bill Payment. You have to input the customer ID and other relevant details for payment of electric bill while for the gas bill you have to select the respective provider, account details and the amount.

When it comes to the payment of landline bills, you must select the service provider, bill amount and the number as well. After this, you can move forth with the successful payment of the amount. In the case of a broadband bill, it is important to put in details like the service provider, user id and the bill payment to initiate the payment.

Do not worry since your money is safe with CardBuzz. In case of any transaction failure, a refund will be initiated, it should reach your CardBuzz prepaid account within 24 to 48 hours.

Fund Transfer

You can transfer your cash from the CardBuzz prepaid accounts to your bank account. However, you have to be a KYC approved client of CardBuzz. The process is simple, and you would need to enter your bank details and select the option for transfer. This option can be found in the CardBuzz application itself. However, do remember that the cash transaction is done by following the NEFT standard rules.

For both e KYC and KYC clients, the standard amount remains fixed at Rs. 25000 per day and Rs. 50000 per beneficiary month.

You do not have to pay any charges if the limit is up to Rs 500 per month. However, if the amount surpasses that, there is a certain charge that is levied. The rate is around 2.75% and is subjected to change as well. It is always advised that you check the rate in the application before making the payment.

If you enter the wrong bank account number, there are two possibilities. Firstly in case of an invalid account number, the transaction will fail, and the amount will be deposited in your prepaid account in 2-3 working days. However, if the account number is valid, the transaction will be successful, and the account holder will receive the money. If the latter happens, it would not be possible to get a refund unless one has consent from the recipient. To avoid these hassles, it is always advised to check the bank account number minutely.

Send Money – Request Money

As the name suggests, this option can be used to send money to friends and family. It is, however, not mandatory that the recipient needs to have a CardBuzz prepaid account. Once you send the money, a notification SMS will be sent along with the link to download the application. On successful downloading and registration, the money will be credited to the CardBuzz prepaid account.

In case you want to send money at first, you would need to log in to your CardBuzz prepaid account. Next, you must tap on the send money option and select the recipient. Once that has been done you have to mention the amount and the short text describing why the amount is being transferred. Once you tap on the send money option, it will get debited successfully, and the person receiving will also get a confirmation SMS.

If the person you are sending the money to does not have a CardBuzz premium account, he or she must download as well as complete the registration process. On successful completion, the amount will be credited to his or her account. However, in case, the limit process is more than 3 days, the money will be credited back to your account.

It can be saved with conviction that the person will receive the money almost instantly on successful completion of the transaction. Once you tap on the "send money" option the amount will be credited, and the person will receive an SMS confirmation carrying the same details.

The limit is uniform for both full KYC as well as e KYC clients. You can choose to transact up to INR 5,000 in each transaction, and a total of INR 10000 can be transacted in a month.

It is a futile process unless and until you have written consent from the recipient to whom you have wrongly sent the amount. That is why it is always advised that you check in the details before sending them, as it calls for a lot of unwanted hassle.

It is a very rare cause, and in case something like this happens you have to check if the details entered are correct or if the recipient has completed his or her CardBuzz registration and is a premium account holder. As much as we would like to extend the service, currently, we are only catering to the Indian audience and specifically those who possess an Indian number connection.

First, he or she does not have a CardBuzz premium account and has failed to do successful registration or the other option might be that they have reached the loading limit. In case any of these happens and the limit of 3 days is crossed, the money will be credited back to the source prepaid account by the end of the third day.

If the person already holds a CardBuzz premium account and has completed the entire KYC process, he or she can just tap on the send money option and get it done successfully. In case they do not possess a CardBuzz premium account, he or she would need to download and complete the successful registration before sending the amount.

In order to request money, you would first need to login into your CardBuzz premium account via the mobile application. Once that has been done just navigate to the "collect and send money" option where you can select the contact from your list and can even input a new number. Next, it is imperative that you select the amount and then send it using the "collect money" option.

There is no option that you can get money in case the request contact does not have a CardBuzz prepaid account. In that case, he or she has to download the application once they receive the SMS and get done with the KYC or eKYC procedure. Once that has been done the funds need to be loaded into the prepaid account via NetBanking or cards, and then he or she can successfully send you the requested amount. Be assured that the money will be credited to your account almost instantly.

No, this is not a possibility. If there isn't a sufficient balance in your CardBuzz prepaid account, you must load the money to your account by using the card or other NetBanking sources. Once that has been done successfully, you can proceed with the desired transaction.
